灯塔,是海洋精神文明的象征。灯塔象征安全和指引,象征希望和方向,更是人类与自然和谐共处的见证。
可持续理念之于现代社会,是灯塔,是我们追求和谐美好未来的方向。面对环境污染、资源枯竭和气候变化等全球性挑战,可持续发展成为人类共同的追求和目标。

The oceans, the starting point for all life on Earth. The oceans, however, continue to deteriorate as a result of pollution, with devastating effects on ecosystem function and biodiversity.
The lighthouse is a symbol of the spiritual civilization of the sea. The lighthouse symbolizes safety and guidance, hope and direction, and is a witness to the harmonious coexistence of mankind and nature.
The concept of sustainability is a beacon for modern society and a direction for our pursuit of a harmonious and better future. In the face of global challenges such as environmental pollution, resource depletion and climate change, sustainable development has become the common pursuit and goal of humankind.
“To the Lighthouse: Through Words and Waves - 2024 Shenzhen Sustainable Culture Festival: Public Art Exhibition”, using reading as a means of knowledge input, encourages us to look at the world from multiple perspectives, exploring, discovering and creating. Through reading, we gain a deeper understanding of the oceans, participate in conservation, and work together towards a sustainable future.

Read - Ocean Texture
这一篇章不仅呈现海洋生物的多样性和美丽,也呈现人类活动在海洋中留下的印记。展品共同构成了一幅海洋的双重肖像:一方面是海洋生物的原始之美,展现海洋的生命力和多样性;另一方面是海洋“生物”的再生之美,通过废弃物的再利用,反思和回应人类活动对海洋生态的影响。每一件展品都呈现着一部分的海洋肌理,它们以不同的形式展现出海洋的复杂性和丰富性。
展品包含本土创造团队使用贝壳与海藻3D打印而成的户外公共家具、Anna Atkins 的《英国藻类:蓝晒印象》、团队成员收集深圳海洋贝壳与废弃漂浮物制作的《深圳海洋肌理:蓝晒贝壳印象》与《深圳海洋肌理:人类行为的证物》、艺术家张有魁使用塑料垃圾制作的艺术装置——满月、Hazel Terry的插画作品《Plenty more fish in the sea?》、本土创造团队回收海洋废弃鞋料制作的椅子、Tobia Zambotti与SDMM团队使用回收救生圈制作的椅子——救生等。
This chapter presents not only the diversity and beauty of marine life, but also the imprint that human activity has left on the oceans.The exhibits together form a double portrait of the ocean: on the one hand, the primitive beauty of marine life, showing the vitality and diversity of the ocean; on the other hand, the regenerative beauty of marine “creatures”, reflecting on and responding to the impact of human activities on the marine ecology through the reuse of waste. Each of the exhibits presents a part of the ocean texture, which shows the complexity and richness of the ocean in different forms.
The exhibits include BENTU Design's outdoor public furniture made from 3D printed shells and seaweed, Anna Atkins' “Photographs of British Alga: Cyanotype Impressions”, "Photographs of Shenzhen Marine Fabric : Cyanotype Seashell" and "Photographs of Shenzhen Marine Fabric : Cyanotype Intruder", which were created by team members collecting shells and discarded floating objects, artist Zhang Youkui's art installation ‘Full Moon’ made from plastic waste, Hazel Terry's illustration 'Plenty more fish in the sea? ', Tobia Zambotti and the SDMM team used recycled lifebuoys to create the chair “Life Saving”.


阅·海浪共鸣
Read - Weave Resonance
海浪之间的相互作用、相互影响,以一种特定的节奏和频率相互碰撞和融合,形成海洋独特的声音和动态。“共鸣”,发生在海浪之间,也发生在人与海洋之间。人类对海洋自然力量的感知和响应,人类活动与自然环境之间的协调,让更多个体在情感和精神层面上与海洋建立起更深层次的联系。这一篇章以互动装置及平面画面让观众感受海浪的韵律,感受海洋的生命力,感受个体自身与自然界的连接。以感官触动警醒海洋保护的意识。
展品包含使用储水囊制作的公共互动艺术装置——水库、SDMM团队收集深圳海岸边的海浪声音与图像交互而成的平面作品——轨迹。
Waves interact and influence each other, colliding and merging with each other at a specific rhythm and frequency, creating the unique sound and dynamics of the ocean. “Resonance,” which occurs between waves, also occurs between people and the ocean. The perception and response of human beings to the natural power of the ocean, and the harmonization between human activities and the natural environment, allow more individuals to establish a deeper connection with the ocean on an emotional and spiritual level. This chapter uses interactive installations and graphic images to let the audience feel the rhythm of the waves, the vitality of the ocean, and the connection between the individual and the natural world. It is a sensory alert to the awareness of ocean conservation.
The exhibits include Reservoir, a public interactive art installation using water storage bladders, and Trajectory, a graphic work made by the SDMM team that collects and interacts with the sound and images of waves along the Shenzhen coast.

Read - Tidal Civilization
人类文明与海洋的关系密不可分,海洋不仅是众多文明的发源地也是不同文化间交流的桥梁。历代以来,人类在与海洋的互动中逐渐寻找并维持着一种和谐的共生关系。在本篇章中,我们通过装置艺术和平面作品探讨人类与海洋共生的哲学思想,揭示人类如何在生活中巧妙地利用海洋生物资源,并与海洋建立起超越物质层面的深刻联系。
展品包含本土创造团队使用贝壳制作的海石灰制成的艺术装置。
Human civilization is inextricably linked to the oceans, which are not only the birthplace of many civilizations but also a bridge for intercultural exchanges. Throughout the ages, mankind has gradually sought and maintained a harmonious symbiotic relationship in its interaction with the oceans. In this chapter, we explore the philosophical idea of mankind's symbiosis with the ocean through installations and graphic works, revealing how mankind can skillfully utilize the living resources of the oceans in their lives and establish a profound connection with the oceans that transcends the material plane.
The exhibit contains art installations made by BENTU Design using sea-lime made from shells.
